There's so much good that I'll try not to leave anything behind. The staff: in reception they are very attentive, highlighting the good of Ciro. Everything with him ends with a "non ti preocupare" on his part, making everything easy, easy, easy if you let yourself be guided...from putting on a suitcase, asking for a taxi, advising you where to eat. His personal, close and "aggressive" Neapolitan-style treatment, in the best of senses, has been key in making me realize that we got our hotel right. The breakfast staff on that magnificent terrace also deserves a few lines and especially Ana, good treatment, sweetness and a perpetual smile. Everyone we met was very nice. Location: Sensational, fantastic. You are going to live the essence of Naples. You are just a short walk from Montesanto station if you want to go to the Hercolano ruins on your own. The fundamental Archaeological Museum can be reached by a walk with a stop in Piazza Dante for a coffee. The historical centre, Piazza Plebiscito or the Molo Beverello to catch a ferry to Capri is about a 10 minute walk away. And you are in via Toledo, all kinds of shops nearby if you want to buy something, many places to take the Neapolitan pizza and a super about 200 meters. The facilities: Very clean room every day without possible complaint, well cared for and well air-conditioned (without air-conditioning we would have died this week in Naples, where you saw pigeons with canteens). Large comfortable beds, with two pillows each. Free safe. Large shower. It has an elevator. The spectacular terrace, full of plants, to enjoy a good breakfast. Breakfast: Very good. Spectacular. Real fruit and honey. Real coffee. Typical sweets. Sausage. In a cool, cool place. And finally, great value for money. In my humble opinion, an ideal hotel to know Naples. Some noise at night, but not until very late, after all you are in a neighborhood with a great atmosphere.
Arriving at night and even letting go of the prejudices that you have read and heard about the safety of Naples and Quartieri Spagnolo, even more after having enjoyed a real Neapolitan rally from the airport, one might think that one is mistaken in choosing one's vacation, not at all. Staying at the Hotel Toledo is living in the epicentre of Neapolitan feeling, including the roguery of which we are brothers and its closeness to the treatment. One cannot be fooled by scooters in narrow streets and clothes hanging in windows. As the days go by you realize that the negative really is the positive of having chosen well where to enjoy the city.

Many rooms need serious updates, with old furniture and issues like mold in the bathrooms. Noise from the vibrant street life can be a real distraction at night, and the breakfast variety is rather limited, leaving some guests wanting more. Some rooms lacked adequate electrical outlets and a consistent WiFi connection, inconvenient for travelers relying on their devices.

Very good location, one block from Toledo Avenue, where you can find the best brands of clothes and one block from the Toledo Subway Station, this subway takes you to the Garibaldi Central Train Station, where trains depart to all cities. The attention is magnificent, much dedication in the explanations to be able to make the excursions. Breakfast cordially attended BY ALL the waitresses, they prepare very good cappuccino. In the rooms there is a frigobar and electric kettle service. Computer service at all times. Hotel in Barrio Seguro, my husband lost his cell phone in a sneaker store 2 blocks from there and Mr. Owner of the business was responsible for notifying the hotel that the cell phone was there, the sneaker store is called Go Max and is in Toledo Avenue 324. Excellent shopping and restaurant area.
The facilities are a little old, some furniture would have to be modernized. The breakfast is GOOD but fair, there should be more quality, diversity and presentation in the food e.g. there are fruits but not fruit salad, there is only one type of cereal, not seeds or cereals with nuts, raisins or plums. That is, it needs a touch of modernity to be perfect.

The staff was the best. They are all extremely helpful and very professional. I loved the roof top breakfast! The hotel is in a great location. You can walk easily to the port to take the boats to Capri. It is also a short walk to the Alibus stop. There is a direct route from the hotel to the train station. I walked it every day..about 20-30 mins. The hotel is next to Via Toledo (the shopping area). If you decide to stay at Hotel Toledo, please say "hi" to the staff for me!

Lovely place in the heart of Napoli. The receptionist was fantastic and helped us so much with directions, luggage. Pity about the breakfast was not to have a decent coffee to start the day but really appreciated the fact to be able to have breakfast outside on the roof terrace. Would highly recommend the place.

The location of the hotel is great. It is in the heart of the traditional part of the city...The Spanish Quarter...If you wanna observe how life in Naples is/was, it is perfect...The area may look dangerous to some but actually it is not at all. My room was clean and had a perfect wireless connection. People in the reception were very friendly, especially Pino...
The breakfast is served in the terrace of the hotel which is very nice but there is not enough variety in the breakfast...

While the Toledo comes highly recommended I felt that all the common areas of the hotel are rather cluttered. For example I counted 110 chairs in the Rooftop Breakfast area. The room I was in was not spacious and the mattress protector on the double bed felt like it was the type that is used in an old people's home. The bedroom itself was well furnished; and everything was clean. The big plus about the Toledo is that it is set back several streets from the main roads of Naples so one can sleep in relative peace. I am afraid I could not get my head around the Hitachi Air Conditioning remote control (which anyway was partially broken and held together with tape). It had 11 buttons so some basic written instructions on how to switch it on and off would have helped. The Toledo WILL BE well be better located when the missing stations on the Naples underground system are finally opened. (PS: On room sizes - I do not know why nowadays Hotels do not provide information on the Booked.net site of the average size of all their double Rooms as a crude indicator of room sizes. PS: On the clutter - In my opinion the Hotel needs an Interior Designer to give the Toledo a quick look over and sort the common areas out.)
